  A: Before you start, use your hand to turn the tensioner clockwise to avoid injury from the high spring load and then pull the belt off the pulley. Following this, take off the hoses from the power steering pump and seal the hose fittings. Remove the bolts from the bracket to pull off the whole pump assembly, then take out the pump pulley and pump bracket. Before installation, insert the pump bracket into the pump and tighten the bolts to 54 Nm for the 3.9L and 5.2L engines or to 28 Nm for the 5.9L version. After installing the pump pulley, put the pump in place and secure it according to the bolts' torque specifications. After installation, tighten the cable tube to 35 Nm and then install the serpentine belt. The pump reservoir must only be filled with pure power steering fluid.
