To replace the cigar lighter or the power outlet, disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery. Remove the knob and element, inspect the receiving receptacle base, and use snap ring pliers to disengage the base. Disconnect the wire harness, re-installed the mount, re-connected the wire harness and re-assembled the knob or cap and re-connected the battery.
