How to Service and Repair a Rear Engine Mount on 2002 Dodge Stratus?

Removal of the air inlet hose and air cleaner housing is the first step in handling the rear engine mount. Afterward, pull out the three bolts that hold the rear mount bracket to the transaxle case. Lift the vehicle on a hoist and then remove the mount bracket using its connecting bolt and the bolt joining it to the transaxle case. With the mount bracket out of the way, unscrew the bolts to take out the rear mount from the suspension crossmember. When installing, fit the rear mount to the suspension crossmember and just start threading the bolts in loosely. After that, attach the mount bracket to the transaxle and put in the bolts, with the torque set to 110 Nm (80 ft. lbs.). Mount the rear mount to the bracket by securing it with the bolt, then fasten the connection to the crossmember bolts to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.). After that, reattach the throttle body air inlet hose and air cleaner housing assembly to the vehicle and raise it.
