  A: On the side of the fuel pump module in the fuel tank, you will find the fuel gauge sending unit or fuel level sensor with a float assembly. Bring the car next to the ramps and raise it through the front wheels. Then, take off the fuel tank and finally the module of the fuel pump. Pull the electrical wire connector off the sending unit terminals and sharply press upward on the release tab to remove the sending unit from the pump module. For installation, join the sending unit onto the pump, fasten it securely, connect the electrical end to its terminals again and set the fuel pump module and fuel tank in place.
