2003 Chrysler 300M Fuse Box Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Safely Service a Fuse Box with Airbags on 2003 Chrysler 300M?
A: For the Fuse Box, always make sure proper safety measures are followed on vehicles with air bags so accidents do not trigger them. You can find the Junction Block and BCM which are linked, on the driver's side of the vehicle. The first step is to open the hood and loosen the negative battery cable from its post in the remote area. Then, using the front driver's side door, open it, take out two screws from the lower instrument panel and pull it rearward so that the clips come loose. Prior to dragging the cover off, remove the wiring and cable from the decklid release switch and hood release. After that, get rid of the left side knee blocker and all the under column ducts. Unscrew the four screws holding the Junction Block/BCM in place, then remove the connectors from the harness wires. First, disconnect the BCM wire connectors and RKE antenna connector, then pull out the Junction Block/BCM from its slot beneath the dashboard. Put the Junction Block/BCM back into place in your car, join all the wire connections and make sure the RKE antenna connector is linked up. Place the Junction Block/BCM where it belongs, match up the two wire harness sections and install all four of the mounting screws. Install the under column ducts and the left knee blocker next, plus the cable to the hood release and the decklid release switch, after which add the two lower instrument panel screws. After that, set the left end cap in place and reattach the negative cable to the remote battery post.
