2003 Chrysler Sebring MAP Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a MAP Sensor on 2003 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Always start by disconnecting the negative battery cable to service and repair the Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor. Remove the MAP sensor's electrical connector and take out the two screws holding it onto the intake manifold for the 4-cylinder model. For this model, also loosen the negative battery terminal, snap off the electrical connector linking the MAP sensor and remove the sensor bolt. For the 4-cylinder, affix the sensor, install and screw it in place, plug the MAP sensor's electrical connector and reattach the negative battery cable at last. Mount the sensor on the 2.7L model's intake manifold plenum, tighten the screws to 4.5 Nm (40 in. lbs.), hook up the electrical cord to the sensor and then reinstall the negative battery cable.
