2003 Chrysler Sebring Oxygen Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install an Oxygen Sensor in the Exhaust Manifold on 2003 Chrysler Sebring?
A: The system has just 1 heated oxygen sensor mounted inside the exhaust manifold. Before you remove the upstream sensor, first unplug the negative battery cable, remove the electrical connector from the sensor and use a socket like Snap-On YA8875 or a crow foot wrench to take it out. For set up, brush the exhaust manifold threads using an 18 mm X 1.5 + 6E tap. Only put Loctite 771-64 anti-seize compound on the sensor threads if reusing the original; brand new sensors have a coat of compound already. Fasten the sensor to the exact torque of 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.), insert the heated oxygen sensor plug and after that, begin installing the negative cable to the battery again.
