2003 Chrysler Town & Country Fuel Injector Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Fuel Injector on 2003 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Before servicing or repairing the fuel injector, disconnect the negative battery cable and take out the Intake Manifold. After that, remove the injector wiring connector from the injector and reposition the fuel rail so you can access the fuel injectors without issues. After rotating the injector, pull it away from the fuel rail by holding the clip on it. Check the O-ring on the injector; if it's damaged, change it and if you plan to reuse the injector, fit it with a protective cap on the tip to protect it from harm. Always replace a damaged injector clip and continue with the rest of the injectors by following these same instructions. When setting up a new injector, use one drop of engine oil to lubricate the rubber O-ring. Fit the open part of the injector clip into the top slot and press the receiver cup so the clip's edges slide into the sides of the injector. Slide each injector's top end into its fuel rail receiver cap, ensuring the O-ring is okay and carry out the procedure for each injector before moving on to the next step. When all the injectors are in place, put the fuel rail on, wire the fuel injectors together, reassembled the Intake Manifold and return the negative battery cable to its place.
