Before servicing or repairing the fuel injector, cut off the negative battery cable and mount the
Intake Manifold. After that, remove the injector wiring connector from the injector and place the
Fuel Rail assembly so the fuel injectors can be accessed with ease. Twist the injector around and then remove it from the fuel rail, with the clip attached to it. For damaged injector O-rings, replace them; if you reuse the injector, put a protective cap on its tip to prevent further damage. When the injector clip is damaged, remove it and install a new one besides each remaining injector. After putting a drop of clean engine oil on the O-ring, correctly install the injector. Insert the end of the clip which is open, into the top of the injector and slide it until the edge of the cup goes into the side slots of the clip. With precaution, place each injector's top into its place on the fuel rail receiver cap without harming the O-ring. Once the injectors are fitted, put back the fuel rail, connect all wires for the injectors, resinstall the Intake Manifold and then restore the negative battery cable.
