To fix the thermostat, empty the cooling system, disconnect the upper radiator hose, and the coolant outlet connector and thermostat. Clean up the surfaces, remove the protruded metal and place the new thermostat over the surfaces with a gasket. Reconnect connector, bolt to 28 Nm and replace cooling system.
