2003 Dodge Dakota Idle Control Valve Parts and Q&A
Q: How Can the Idle Control Valve Be Serviced and Reinstalled on the Throttle Body on 2003 Dodge Dakota?
A: IAC motor The IAC motor is located on the rear of the throttle body and accessible by removing the airduct at the throttle body and disconnecting the electrical connector to the IAC motor. Next, you need to take off the two holding bolts (screws) to replace the IAC motor on to the throttle body. To install, fit the IAC motor to the throttle body and lock it in place using the two mounting bolts (screws) but make sure that you tighten the bolts to a torque of 7N.m (60 in.lbs.). Lastly, re-connect the electrical connector and put back the air duct at the throttle body.
