- Q: How to service the power door lock switch on 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Van?A: Before handling anything on the power door lock switch, disconnect the negative cable from the battery and isolate it. Unfasten the mirror flag trim bezel from the door's inside, then unscrew the back of the power window and power lock switch and mounting plate assembly to the bezel. Take out the power window and power lock switch, along with the mounted unit, from the bezel. Pick a small thin-bladed screwdriver, carefully wedge it into the snap clips by the switch on the back of the mounting plate, pull on the switch and take it out slowly. When installing, fit the power lock into the space on the back of the mounted switch and keep pressing until you hear it snap into place and the snap clips are secure. Attach the window and lock button, plus the plate unit behind the mirror flag bezel and tighten the screws evenly to 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). After that, attach the mirror flag trim bezel to the front door's inner panel and plug back in the negative end of the battery connector.
