2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How Should the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor Be Managed During Service on 2003 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: The Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor/MAP (IAT/MAP) sensor which is on top of the intake manifold, should be handled with care during service. First, clean around the sensor before you break the connection between it and the wires. Loosen the two T-15 Torx head screws that keep the sensor in place and remove the sensor from the car's intake manifold. Look over the sensor O-ring and check that it appears to be in good condition. A fresh O-ring should be checked and the sensor attachment area on the intake manifold should be cleaned. Set up the sensor in the manifold, followed by installing and tightening the two screws. Now, put the electrical connector back into place on the sensor.
