2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Window Regulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Front Door Window Regulator on 2003 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: Take off the inner belt molding and waterdam before you start removing and replacing the front door window regulator. Put the crank back into its slot and raise the door glass to the level is supposed to be. Unlock the door glass from the window regulator by removing the nuts from the door and window sight windows. Push the door glass all the way up and hold it tightly in place with a wooden wedge or other support. Lower the regulator using the button and remove both nuts that hold the stabilizer to the door. After that, take out the bolts that hold the window regulator to the door and ease off the two bolts on the opposite side. Pull up on the regulator to free the bolts from the door and lift out the regulator from within the door. To install the regulator, pass it through the door frame and insert two bolts into the regulator from the door. Bolt the window regulator to the door with both bolts and tighten the four regulator bolts to 10 N.m (89 in.lbs.). Slide the regulator stabilizer into the car's door, attach the nuts to it and tighten the two nuts to 10 N.m (89 in.lbs.). Position the window regulator to the mark on the bracket and take away the plastic window crank. Give the window glass support and remove the wooden wedge or its equivalent. Adjust the window glass so the regulator-side window strips the small bolts through the window glasses. Last, put back the waterdam and the inner belt molding.
