2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Door Handle Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Door Handle on the Front Exterior on 2003 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: When servicing or repairing the front door exterior handle, remove and isolate the negative battery lead first. Take out the door glass and if possible, separate the white wire from the exterior handle from the wire harness that goes to the door (3). After that, take the actuator rods (6 and 8) off from the outside handle (1). Get rid of the nuts (2) attaching the outer handle to the door (4) and remove the handle. Align the exterior handle with the door and, after installing the two nuts, secure them by tightening to 10 N.m or 89 in.lbs. Connect actuator brackets (6 and 8) that lead to the door latch (5) to the outside handle. If you have an exterior handle, link its wire lead (7) with the door wire harness connector (3). After that, fit the door glass and reattach the negative battery cable.
