2002 Dodge Ram 2500 Window Regulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Power Window Regulator for Front on 2002 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: Take down the waterdam at the front of the door panel to access the power window regulator. After that, pull the switch out of the door panel and put it back onto the door harness. Set the window in the exact place needed and replace the nuts once removed. Take the glass off the regulator lift plate and lift it all the way up, keeping it in place with a wood wedge. Adjust the regulator down and take out the stabilizer nuts. Afterward, release the forward regulator bolt and loose the other two bolts. Slide the regulator up and push it out of its holes in the door panel, unplug the electrical connector and remove the regulator. First, put the regulator up through the opening in the door panel, then connect the electrical connector. Insert the regulator bolts into the keyhole slots and slide them into their places, then put in the forward bolt and tighten all three to 10 N.m (89 in.lbs). Attach the stabilizer, put the nuts in place and turn them until they reach 10 N.m/89 in.lbs. Raise the regulator to the indicated point, then take out the glass support and fasten the regulator to the lift plate. Insert the glass nuts and tighten them so that they show 10 N.m (89 in.lbs) on the torque wrench. After that, take out the window switch, put it back into the door panel and then reinstall the waterdam.
