2003 Dodge Ram 3500 Brake Disc Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service the Front Brake Disc on 2003 Dodge Ram 3500?
A: For front brake disc service, you must first support the vehicle, then remove the wheel and tire assembly. Then, disconnect the caliper from the steering knuckle and remove the caliper adapter assembly while ensuring the brake hose doesn't hold it up. Take out the disc from its place around the hub/bearing wheel studs. If your car has all-wheel Antilock System (ABS) and you spot damage on the tone wheel, replace the entire hub/bearing assembly since the tone wheel cannot be serviced alone. Secure the disc to the studs on the hub/bearing wheel and place and secure the caliper adapter assembly, tightening all adapter bolts. Mount the wheel and tire assembly, set the vehicle back down, push the brakes a few times to set the pads and test it before driving off.
