2003 Dodge Sprinter 3500 Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair the Rear Brake Disc on Dual Rear Wheels on 2003 Dodge Sprinter 3500?
A: First, pop up and secure the vehicle. Then, take the wheels off. Take lift the rear disc brake pads and the disc brake caliper adapter out of the tire assembly too. Set the parking brake and add two lug studs to the disc brake rotor before you take out the locking bolt. Uninstall the wheel flange ring and locking bolt for the disc brake rotor and afterward remove the two lug nuts. Let go of the parking brake and loosen the park brake adjuster so you have space for removal and then pull out the rear disc brake rotor. Fit the disc brake disc onto the hub and tighten it down with two lug studs. After parking the brake, attach the rotor locking bolt and fasten it to 23 Nm (204 inch lbs.). Then, install the disc brake caliper adapter and tighten it to 170 Nm (125 ft. lbs.), next install the wheel flange ring and tighten it to 200 Nm (148 ft. lbs.). Attach the brake pads, let down the parking break and adjust as required. Pull the brake several times, verify that the fluid is at the right level and top it off if required and afterward fit the back wheels and reduce the vehicle.
