How to Maintain a Speed Sensor on the Rear Wheel on 2003 Dodge Sprinter 3500?

You should first lift and stand the vehicle to support it, then take out the wheels from the rear. Take the wheel speed sensor off its support in the bottom part of the gearbox housing. If you have to change the sensor, cut the cable at a spot located where you can access it easily. When installing, combine the separate cable ends of the wheel speed sensor using bamboo-shaped or command wrap and shrink-fit tubing if the sensor needs to be replaced. Urge the wheel speed sensor all the way into the axle tube so it can self-adjust when the vehicle is driven. Now, reinstall the rear wheels and bring the vehicle down to the ground.
