2003 Dodge Sprinter 3500 Washer Pump Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Windshield Washer Pump on 2003 Dodge Sprinter 3500?
A: For maintenance of the windshield washer pump/motor, first remove the wire harness connector from the motor connector receptacle. Following that, unplug the supply hose from the washer pump/motor barbed nipple so the fluid in the washer drains into a clean reusable container. When necessary, remove the washer fluid level switch vent hose from the barbed vent nipple at the top of the washer pump/motor unit. Remove the washer pump from the rubber grommet inside the reservoir without putting any strain on the container. Get rid of the rubber grommet seal on the washer pump mounting hole on the reservoir. When installing, shoot another brand-new rubber grommet seal into the washer pump well that's located in the reservoir. Lift the rubber grommet seal on the reservoir, attach the inlet nipple of the washer pump to it, then press down on the washer pump until the nipple is in place. When needed, put the end of the plastic washer fluid level switch vent hose onto the barbed vent nipple at the top of the pump/motor casing. Attach thewasher hose to the barbed outlet nippleon the pump and then add the vehicle wire connector to the pump motor connection. Remember to place washer fluid back into the reservoir after you empty and open it.
