  The first step to servicing the windshield washer pump is to take away the negative Battery Cable from the car battery. Pour the washer fluid from the reservoir (1) into a container you can clean and use again. Remove the two screws joining the reservoir to the bracket above the left front fender inner wheel house. Raise the Washer Reservoir to locate the front washer pump/motor unit (2) on the inside of the reservoir. Loosen the connector between the front washer pump/motor unit and the wire harness and untie the washer supply hose from the pump's black nipple. On the pump/motor housing, grasp the top part firmly and pull it toward yourself to break the connection with the reservoir's molded area for the motor. Press down on the hand lever and move the pump up to remove its inlet from the seal/filter screen of the reservoir. After that, remove the white rubber grommet seal/filter screen from within the washing machine reservoir and discard it.

  You should first isolate the windshield washer pump by disconnecting and isolating the negative Battery Cable. Drain the washer fluid out of the reservoir (1) and put it into a suitable container you can use again. Release the reservoir from the bracket above the fender inner wheel house by unscrewing the two screws. Pull the Washer Reservoir upward to get to the rear washer pump/motor unit (3) on the side next to the car. Remove the wire harness connector from the rear washer pump/motor unit and pull off the washer supply hose attached to the barbed outlet nipple on the pump. Take hold of the top part of the washer pump/motor housing and pull it back toODT Lock the washer pump/motor housing against the snap connection between the motor housing and the molded motor receptacle in the reservoir. Press the washer pump from underneath to loosen the nipple from the filter in the reservoir, making sure not to damage its inner part. Take out and discard the rubber grommet seal/filter screen from the hole in the washer reservoir where the pump is installed.
