2004 Chrysler 300M Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a 42LE Automatic Transmission Speed Sensor for Output Speed Sensor on 2004 Chrysler 300M?
A: Connect with the output speed sensor in the 42LE automatic transmission by first disconnecting the input from its connector. Subsequently, unscrew and take out the output speed sensor to examine the o-ring and replace it if that o-ring appears worn. Before tightening the output speed sensor to a torque of 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.), check that the o-ring is installed correctly. Connect the speed sensor cable and the battery's negative cable again.
