2004 Chrysler Pacifica Fuel Injector Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Effectively Service and Repair a Fuel Injector on 2004 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: The first step to servicing the fuel injector is to take out the negative battery cable and remove the upper intake manifold. If the injector connectors are missing their cylinder number label, add one so you can identify them. Then, break the attachment between the fuel rail and fuel rail line and unscrew the 4 bolts that secure the fuel rail. Pull the fuel rail straight off the top of the cylinder head, remove the clips at the injector end and then remove the injectors. A little clean engine oil placed on the fuel injector O-rings before inserting the retaining clips will lubricate them for easy installation. Place the injectors into the fuel rail until all clips are in the right slots. Lay the fuel rail over the cylinder heads and make sure it is in position, then tighten the bolts to 28 N-m (250 in. lbs.) torque. Attach the quick connect fitting on the fuel supply tube to the end of the fuel rail and then attach the electrical connectors to the fuel injectors. After that, fit the intake manifold plenum and hook up the negative cable back to the battery.
