- Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Rear Seat Belt and Retractor on 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser?A: The starting step is removing the turning loop cover and the turning loop bolt and then both the upper and lower trim bezels and the trim panel attached to the body. Then, loosen and take out the lower seat anchor bolt, insert the seat belt and hardware into the slits in the trim and remove the retractor and belt assembly at the same time. During installation, fit the rear seat belt retractor and attach it with the provided bolt and tighten the bolt to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) Guide the seat belt and its hardware under the trimming piece, afterwards, set in the bolt for the lower anchor and tighten it to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Install the trim panel first, then each of the two trim bezels and next, fit in each of the turning loop bolts. At last, install the turning loop cover.
