How to Perform a Seat Switch Replacement for the Passenger Seat on 2004 Dodge Ram 1500?

The first thing to do when swapping the passenger seat switch is to disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. Take out the seat cushion side shield from the seat. Disconnect the switch wire harness by unlocking the connector from the switch module on the power seat by pushing in its locking tabs and pulling the side shield or switch bezel. Unscrew the power seat switch. Set the switch in the leg cover of the chair and fasten all the mounting screws. Attach the electrical connector and put back the seat cushion side shield in place on the seat. If required, attach the screw through the hole in the recliner lever and tighten it onto the release shaft of the recliner mechanism on the front seat's side. You should now connect the battery negative cable again.
