How to Service and Repair a Seat Switch on 2005 Dodge Ram 1500?

Before doing anything else, disconnect the battery's negative cable. Pull the side shield or switch bezel off the seat after the seat cushion, so you can get to the switch wire harness connector. Carefully lift the tabs at the switch lock and then remove the wire harness connector from its socket in the power seat switch module. Take out the screws connecting the power seat switch to the side shield unit. Set the power seat switch in place on the seat cushion side shield and then install the screws. After that, set the electrical connector, secure the seat cushion side shield onto the seat and finally attach the negative cable to the battery.
