To work on the cigarette lighter disconnect the battery negative cable. Remove the knob and element, then remove the receptacle base using the snap ring pliers. To install it, disconnect the wire harness, remove the mount, and then reconnect the wire harness, re-install the mount, re-attach the knob or cap and reconnect the battery.
