2004 Dodge Stratus A/C Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service the A/C Switch on 2004 Dodge Stratus?
A: With the air bag battery terminal unconnected and with the other terminal still connected, the air bag system is disarmed after two minutes. First, lift the hood and take off the negative cable from the remote battery post. Should the problem persist, you may have to take off the ash receiver assembly. Take off the center trim bezel on the instrument panel next and then unplug the two electrical connections found at the back of the control head and traction control switch, if your model has them. Get rid of the six retaining screws on the A/C heater control head in the back of the center trim bezel and take it out. Secure the control head onto the back of the instrument panel center bezel by screwing it into pace with the six retaining screws. Rejoin the two electric connector cables to the head and traction control switch, if present and then fit the instrument panel center bezel and ash receiver assembly, whenever necessary. After that, reconnect the negative battery cable to the BCM negative terminal and do the HVAC system calibration so the BCM can read the new control head.
