How to Service and Repair a Transmission Speed Sensor for Input on 2004 Dodge Stratus?

Before starting on the sensor, you should remove the battery negative cable. Should you need to, you should disconnect and cap off the transmission oil cooler lines. After that, remove the input speed sensor connector and unscrew the input speed sensor. If the O-ring on the speed sensor is worn, change it. While setting up, place the O-ring in the correct spot, then put in the input speed sensor and tighten it to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). Connect the speed sensor wire and then replace the battery negative wire.
