2004 Jeep Liberty Antenna Cable Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Replace an Instrument Panel Antenna Cable on 2004 Jeep Liberty?
A: First, you should disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable to disable the air bag system. After that, give it two minutes until the capacitor discharges so that the air bag won't go off unexpectedly. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery first and then take out the instrument panel. Use the cable with the locking connector on the radio to keep the cable and radio from being damaged. After that, detach the retainers that hold the cable to the instrument panel. Before installation, attach the antenna cable to the instrument panel with retainers to secure it to the vehicle's backside. Plug the cable into the radio, replace the instrument panel and finally reattach the negative terminal of the battery.
