How to Service an Axle Shaft Seal on 2004 Jeep Wrangler?

To service the rear axle Axel shaft seals one need to remove the Axle shaft first. With the pry bar, you will pry out the axle shaft seal off the end of the axle shaft tube with the pry bar (I used a small prybar). Inspect the axle shaft tube bore for roughness and burrs and remove if required. Clean the bore of the axle shaft tube thoroughly and install a new axle shaft seal with Installer 6437 and Handle C-4171. Last, reinstall the axle shaft.
