How to Remove and Install a Battery Sensor on 2004 Jeep Wrangler?

The way to remove the battery temperature sensor is to remove the battery from under the vehicle first. After you remove the battery, separate the sensor pigtail cable from the engine wire harness and pull the sensor straight from the hole it is fitted in the tray under the battery. For installation, pass the pigtail harness through the hole in the top of the battery tray and fit the sensor into place by pressing it. After that, plug in the harness and install the battery again.
