How to Service and Repair a Hood Latch on 2005 Chrysler Crossfire?

The hood latch can be serviced by first opening the hood and unscrewing the bolts and taking off the lower section. Take out the hood pull cable from the striker and remember where on the hood the upper catch section was installed. For installation, grease the hood latch and fasten it onto the hood latch release cable, making sure you correctly direct the cable. Fasten the hood latch release cable to the hood latch, line up the bolts and install the hood latch after tightening them to 8 N.m (71 in.lbs.). After that, test to see if everything is properly in place and fits well in the hood.
