  A: When servicing or repairing the wiper motor, begin by turning off the battery's negative cable and uninstalling the wiper module. After that, remove the nuts holding the crank arm on the wiper motor shaft and draw a mark on both the wiper module and the crank arm to help with alignment later. After lifting the crank arm from the wiper motor shaft, take the three bolts that hold the wiper motor to the wiper module and take the motor out. Before you install any parts, swing the wiper motor shaft to the "park" position. After inserting the wiper motor into the wiper motor module, put in the three retaining bolts and tighten them to 11 N.m. Align the crank arm with the wiper motor shaft and press it into place, making sure it's in the park position, before you tighten the crank arm nut to 26 N.m. Reinstall the wiper motor module in the vehicle and then put back the negative battery cable.
