2005 Chrysler Pacifica Door Handle Parts and Q&A
- Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Door Handle on 2005 Chrysler Pacifica?A: Pull the door glass up and take out the trim panel to remove the handle. After that, pull the watershield if needed to open the outside door. Free the clip that keeps the door latch linkage attached to the outer door handle and the clip that holds the door lock linkage to the outside door handle. Use a screwdriver through the hole at the top of the inside of the door to remove the outside door handle. You can remove the outside door handle assembly and cover at once by pulling the handle toward the rear of the car. Get rid of the screws that connect the outside handle bracket to the outer door panel and get the outside handle bracket assembly off of them. For fitting, align and screw the outside handle assembly and bracket onto the outer panel of the door and tighten them to 4 N.m (37 in.lbs.) torque. Two parts are attached: the handle and the cover. Insert the pivot leg of the handle into the front access hole from the outside, then push the handle toward the outer panel so that the back makes contact and snaps into place. Secure the screw on the outside door handle cover to its bracket, snap the clip attaching the door lock linkage onto the outer doorknob and snap the clip connecting the door latch linkage to the outer doorknob. Make sure the outside handle works well, install the watershield and fix the door trim panel. Afterward, test how the door handle assembly works and make any changes as required.
