2006 Chrysler Pacifica Door Handle Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain a Rear Door Handle on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: First, lift the glass up and remove the panel on the exterior of the rear door. Also, remove the watershield, as necessary, so you can reach the outside door handle. Screw out the screw on the handle cover and break the clip attaching the inside linkage to the outside handle. Unscrew the fixation screw on the door handle cover from the outside handle bracket through the access hole inside the door. Simultaneously take out the outside door handles and covers by pulling and covering them all the way to the rear of the car. After loosening the screws that join the outer handle bracket to the outer panel, take out the assembly attached to the outer door panel. To install, slide the outside handle assembly into the inside door panel and fasten the screws fixing the assembly and bracket to the outside door panel at a tightness of 4 N.m (37 in.lbs.). Working from the front, slide the pivot leg of the handle into the hole and keep pulling the back piece towards the outer side until it hits, then push again until it locks. Install the screw that holds the handle cover on the outside handle bracket and bring the door latch and lock clips into contact with the outer handle assembly. Test the exterior handle, replace the watershield whenever you need to and before anything put on the door trim panel. Jump to checking the door handle assembly's operation and correct any potential problems.
