How to Replace a Headlight Bulb on 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before servicing the headlamp bulb, take out the headlamp access cover in the splash shield. After that, turn the socket counterclockwise a quarter turn and pull the bulb and socket out of the headlamp housing. Cut the connection between the wire behind the high or low beam bulb of the headlamp. Exercise caution and don't use fingers or oily touches on the glass of the new bulb to stop reducing how long it will last. Secure the wire connection to the back of the bulb and install the bulb in the headlamp, after which turn the socket carefully one quarter turn clockwise. Check how well the headlamp lights work after installation and fill up the splash shield by placing the headlamp access cover back in its place.
