How to Replace a Headlight Bulb on 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

To work on the headlamp, take off the headlamp access cover through the splash shield first. After that, move the socket counterclockwise one quarter turn to take it off and pull out both the bulb and socket from the headlamp casing. Remove the wire connector from the back of the premotor end bulb, either the high or low beam light. Be sure not to touch the glass part of a halogen bulb with your fingers or anything oily to avoid shortening how long it will last. Join the wire connector to the back of the new high or low beam bulb and install the bulb where it belongs in the headlamp housing. Rotate the socket a quarter way in a clockwise direction to lock it in place and then put the headlamp access cover back inside the splash shield.
