2005 Chrysler Sebring ABS Control Module Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service the ABS Control Module on 2005 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Before servicing the Electronic Brake Control Module, take off the negative cable and lift the car. Raise up on the connector lock to disconnect the 24-way electrical connector and the pump/motor connector from the Cab. Take out the bolts holding the integrated control unit mounting bracket to the lower radiator support, then move the Icu toward the right side of the car so as not to bend the brake tubes linked to it. Loose the screws and take out the Cab from the part of the Icu that holds the Hcu. Use screws and tighten them to a torque of 2 Nm (17 inch lbs.) and attach the Cab to the half of the Icu closest to the Hcu during installation. Replace the Icu mounting bracket on the lower radiator support and tighten all the bolts to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). Attach the 24-way electrical and pump/motor connectors, drop the vehicle down and change the negative battery cable. After that, link a Drbiii(R) to the car and start the initialization process.
