2005 Chrysler Sebring Throttle Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2005 Chrysler Sebring?
A: The first thing you want to do when servicing and repairing the throttle body is to disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Remove the clean air hose, remove throttle cable shield, then remove the throttle and speed control cables from lever and bracket. Loosen the electrical connectors from idle air control motor and throttle position sensor (TPS). Second, take out the attaching bolts which associate the throttle body to intake manner and throttle wire clip. Installation starts by replacing the throttle body and fastening the mounting bolts to 13.6 Nm (120 in. lbs.) of torque. Tighten the mounting bolts that secure the throttle cable bracket to 14.1 Nm (125 in. lbs.) torque and reinstall the throttle cable bracket. Before installing the throttle and speed control cables hold the throttle lever in wide open throttle position. The throttle cable shield and clean air hose can then be reinstalled and the electrical connectors reconnected to the idle air control motor and TPS. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery at last.
