How to Service a Camshaft Position Sensor on a 3.7L V-6 Engine on 2005 Dodge Durango?

Start by unplugging the connector at the CMP sensor and after that, unscrew the bolt holding the sensor on the head and twist the sensor out gently. Assess the O-ring of the sensor. When you are installing, empty the machined hole in the cylinder head and rub a small portion of engine oil on the sensor O-ring. Put the sensor into the cylinder head by gently rotating and rocking it until it is completely flush to the head. When the sensor is properly secured, attach the mounting bolt securely according to the provided torque values and then link the sensor's electrical connector back to the vehicle.
