2005 Dodge Durango Seat Heater Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain a Seat Heater Switch on 2005 Dodge Durango?
A: The seat heater switch should be serviced after disconnecting and isolating the negative battery cable. Get rid of the bezel from the instrument cluster and, as a unit, pull out the heated seat switch bezel and switches. Use a plastic tool to pop the switch loose from the inside of the heated seat switch bezel, then gently pull the heated seat switch out the back of the cover. While installing, put the heated seat switches in the marked holes of the bezel, since a keyway on the back connector of each switch points to the proper place. Press in the switch for the heated seat through the back of the center bezel, reassemble the center bezel onto the instrument panel and reconnect the battery's negative cable before checking that the heated seat system is okay.
