  A: Start by lifting the vehicle on a hoist and putting a container beneath the transaxle oil pan before anything else. Take off both bolts connecting the engine mount crossmember to the engine. Then use a screw jack with a solid block under it to lift the engine and transmission a little bit to help you access the oil pan. Remove the pan bolts slightly, hit one area of the pan to disconnect it and let fluids flow out before removing the pan. Update the filter and o-ring at the valve body's bottom, wash the oil pan and magnet well and reattach the oil pan with modern Mopar Silicone Adhesive sealant and 19 Nm (165 inch lbs.). Fill the dipstick port with four quarts of Mopar ATF+4, start the engine, allow it to idle for a minute and switch the gear lever through every position before putting it back into park or neutral. Test the transaxle fluid and, if needed, add the correct amount so the level comes to 3 mm below the bottom mark on the dipstick. After heating the transaxle, recheck the level when it's at 180°F. Place the dipstick correctly so that no dirt can contaminate the transaxle. For the dipstick tube fluid suction system, insure the gearbox is fully warmed up, use a proper suction tool and put the suction line into the dipstick tube to reach the lowest area inside the oil pan for complete fluid removal. Once done with the suction line, pour up to four quarts of Mopar ATF+4 into the engine through the dipstick area, start the motor and repeat the fluid level checking you did earlier, being certain the dipstick is full seated when done.
