How to Service and Repair a Rear Door Hinge on 2005 Dodge Magnum?

First, take off the rear door and put a mark on the outside lower B-pillar near the appropriate hinge bracket so you can put it back correctly. After that, take out the two screws holding the hinge bracket to the lower B-pillar and take off the bracket. Indicate the location of the upper or lower hinge on the rear door and then separate the screw from the door and the nut from the stud to help you put it all back together. Distance the upper or lower hinge from the door's hinge face. Install the upper or lower hinge on the hinge face of the rear door and put the screw through it to tighten the nut on the stud by 28 N.m (21 ft.lbs.). After that, put in and tighten the screw fastening the hinge to the door to 28 N.m (21 ft.lbs.). Bolt the upper or lower hinge bracket to the outside area of the lower B-pillar and tighten the screws until they show 30 N.m (22 ft.lbs.) of torque. After that, connect the rear door to the vehicle.
