2005 Dodge Magnum Seat Heater Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain Your Seat Heater on 2005 Dodge Magnum?
A: Before servicing the seat heater, unplug the negative battery cable from the terminal. Take out the proper seat cover or trim and then disconnect the electrical connections from the broken heated seat cushion or seat back. Cut the wires that go to the inoperative heating element just where they meet the original heating element. To install, take off the backing on the replacement heating element and stick it directly over the factory heating element. Make sure throughout this process that you do not bend or fold the element assembly, since it may wear out too soon. Then, connect the electrical ends of the heating element, put the battery negative cable back where it was and make certain the heated seat system works properly. Before closing the seat up, attach the chosen seat cushion or seat back trim cover and make sure all seat wire harnesses are correctly placed and all extra wire is tucked inside the cushion foam.
