How to Maintain a Window Regulator on 2005 Dodge Neon?

Begin by taking off the door trim panel, then remove the glass from its place in the window regulator. Free the tie strap attached to the outboard regulator cable and remove the screws that hold the window regulator channel and crank housing to the door panel. Take out the screws and bolts from the keyhole openings in the panel and loosen the bolts that link the window regulator to the door. Slowly unconnect the regulator from the door and its housing, move the regulator backward and rotate the forward end of the roller channel up through the hole in the door to disconnect it. Put the window regulator and crank housing into the door panel from the access hole, then secure the window regulator to the door panel with the bolts. Get the window regulator bolt heads into the keyhole slots in the door and screw the channel and crank housing together firmly. Attach the new tie strap to the outboard regulator cable and the inner sheet metal, move the glass into place on the regulator roller channel, secure the glass to the channel and then be sure to fix the door trim panel.
