How to Service and Repair a Rear Door Latch Assembly on 2005 Dodge Neon?

Before handling the rear door latch, first lift off the door trim panel and put down the door glass. Unfasten the lower rear channel to give some space for the rods and remove the clips from the linkage rods on the door latch. Dismantle the latch rod, take out the screws holding the latch to the door and then remove the latch from the car. Attach the latch to the vehicle and fasten it with the screws to the end frame of the door. Join the linkage rods and the lock and latch rods to the door latch, tighten the lower rear run channel and then put the door trim back in place. Check the latch on the door before you close it, so that it does not get stuck when you want to open it.
