2005 Jeep Wrangler Fuel Injector Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Fuel Injector on 2005 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Before working on the fuel injector, first take out the fuel rail. Taking the clips off, remove the fuel injectors from the fuel rail. After that, slip the fuel injectors over the rail and use the retaining clips to secure them. Since you are reinstalling the same injectors, use new O-rings and put a black ring on the manifold end and a red/rust colored ring on the fuel rail end so it isn't mistaken. Rub a small amount of clean engine oil on each injector O-ring to help during installation. Ultimately, replace the fuel rail, begin the engine and see if you find any fuel leaks.
