2006 Jeep Wrangler Fuel Injector Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Ensure Proper Functioning of a Fuel Injector on a 2006 Jeep Wrangler?
A: The first step to fixing a fuel injector is taking out the fuel rail. Afterward, pull off the holding clips that join the fuel injectors to the fuel rail. Push the fuel injectors into the fuel rail assembly and clip them in place using the retaining clips. Replace both O-rings with new ones when you install the same injectors, asidenote: Use a black O-ring at the intake manifold end and a red or rust colored O-ring at the fuel rail end. Apply just a drop of clean engine oil to every O-ring in each injector to make installing them easier. Afterward, attach the fuel rail again, start the engine and make sure there are no fuel leaks.
