2006 Chrysler Pacifica Fuel Pressure Regulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Fuel Pressure Regulator on the Passenger Side of the Fuel Tank on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: To tend to the regulator that controls the fuel pressure on the passenger side, turn off the fuel supply, then disconnect the negative battery cable. Take out the fuel tank, vacuum the place and then remove the module lock ring. Simply remove the lock ring from the top of the module by inserting and pushing the 1/4 turn brass punch. First, empty the fuel tank through an approved gasoline draining station and afterward, take the module out of the tank. Then, press down on the tab near the connector by the regulator to take out the wire that's on the ground. After the ground wire is taken away, hold the regulator in place using a socket and compress the four tabs, lifting the regulator and removing it with the O-rings. To install, have the O-rings on the regulator before anything else, give them a thin coating of clean engine oil and push the regulator into the hole. After replacing the ground wire, module and seal, make sure the seal is lined up correctly in the groove on the fuel tank. Install the module lock ring using the brass punch, so that every tab is nicely fitted. Bind the fuel line and vapor lines, place the fuel tank in position, reattach the cable from the negative battery terminal and top up the fuel tank. Lastly, activate the scan tool to check if there are any fuel leaks by running fuel pressure.
